invisibleSHIELD for T-Mobile G1 T-Mobile G1 to recieve Cupcake Android in late January OTA

Michael Martin of GoogleAndBlog has some exciting news for those of us who are hungry for a little cupcake action on our G1 handsets. Michael spoke to a ’senior G1 PDA specialist’ at T-Mobile who has assured him that the ‘RC31′ update of android (which includes all sorts of lovely features such as an on-screen keyboard) will be pushed to G1 owners’ handsets by the end of January as an over the air update.

This will come as welcome news to many of us G1 owners, who have been waiting patiently for a way to send text messages while driving with our knees and eating a burger with our ’spare’ hand.

UK T-Mobile G1 on 3G in Australia - 3 Mobile Network

Here’s picture proof, as such, of my G1 running 3G on the 3 network in Australia.

All that was required was to unlock the phone, and add the 3 mobile internet APN to the phone’s settings - as simple as adding a new APN with ‘name’ and ‘apn’ set to ‘3netaccess’ - I’m yet to add the gprs and mms APNs but they are just as easy. Once I’d done that, I set up my gmail account and it ran fine from the get-go. Everything works including compas mode street view. I’m glad I waited and bought the UK Version!

EAMobile Release Tetris and Monopoly Games for T-Mobile G1 and Android

EA Games have released both Tetris and Monopoly - two of the most popular games in the history of humankind and nerdkind, for Android. These magical pieces of software are available from eamobile.com at a reasonable price tag of US$7.99 each. Don’t expect to see them in the Android marketplace though. It’s great to see big players in the mobile gaming market like Electronic Arts, coming out with Android versions of these classic favorite games.

So what are you waiting for? go buy Tetris for your t-mobile G1! Just don’t buy it from Handango where it’s almost twice the price. Read More…

Find the best price for anything with Compare Everywhere

Compare everywhere is an awesome app that takes a simple idea and executes it brilliantly. With the current financial crisis (ooh topical) hitting everyone’s hip pockets, this app is not only cool, it’s timely. The idea is you can scan a barcode from any product and Compare Everywhere will search online and LOCAL stores to find you the BEST price.

Compare everywhere will also pull up product reviews, related movie or music clips for your viewing pleasures. Found a great price? it’ll tell you how to get to the store too! It’s another program which must employ a factory of magic special monkeys somewhere.. how else would it work? I simply do not know, as I am only human.

Check out compare everywhere now at the Android Market! Read More…
