EAMobile Release Tetris and Monopoly Games for T-Mobile G1 and Android

EA Games have released both Tetris and Monopoly - two of the most popular games in the history of humankind and nerdkind, for Android. These magical pieces of software are available from eamobile.com at a reasonable price tag of US$7.99 each. Don’t expect to see them in the Android marketplace though. It’s great to see big players in the mobile gaming market like Electronic Arts, coming out with Android versions of these classic favorite games.

So what are you waiting for? go buy Tetris for your t-mobile G1! Just don’t buy it from Handango where it’s almost twice the price. Read More…

Find the best price for anything with Compare Everywhere

Compare everywhere is an awesome app that takes a simple idea and executes it brilliantly. With the current financial crisis (ooh topical) hitting everyone’s hip pockets, this app is not only cool, it’s timely. The idea is you can scan a barcode from any product and Compare Everywhere will search online and LOCAL stores to find you the BEST price.

Compare everywhere will also pull up product reviews, related movie or music clips for your viewing pleasures. Found a great price? it’ll tell you how to get to the store too! It’s another program which must employ a factory of magic special monkeys somewhere.. how else would it work? I simply do not know, as I am only human.

Check out compare everywhere now at the Android Market! Read More…

Shazam - It’s a musical Genius for your T-Mobile G1

Shazam is an application that iPhone users will probably already be familiar with. The idea is you let Shazam ‘listen’ to a song (ie let it record a few seconds of the song with the phone’s microphone) and it will send the short clip to a factory full of GENIUS MUSICAL MONKEY slaves who will fling poop at a list of song titles on the wall - identifying it! Then one of the monkeys will send detailed information on the song back to your G1 - including Artist, title, the album it’s from, and links to the artist’s MySpace page etc.

Shazam!

Ok so there may not ACTUALLY be monkeys. Read all about it on Shazam.com and get the app FREE now from the Android Market!

This app is probably one of the more impressive things I’ve seen on the iPhone - and it’s great to see it come out on Android.

Microsoft Exchange for Android! - Almost.

Phandroid reports that a new app, ContactsSync - is the first Android app to offer support for MS Exchange, although it’s more of a one way street - ContactsSync will update your phone’s contacts with those from your exchange server, but you aren’t able to beam your new phone contacts down the other way.

the developer does plan to add two-way sync, and we’ll let you know when that happens. Read more at phandroid Read More…

Want to buy a t-mobile G1 in Australia? Don’t buy from USA!

After exhaustive research we’re able to bring you some advice that could save you a few bucks. The t-Mobile G1 that’s available in the USA and is currently being shipped, is incompatible with australian 3G networks. Buying one of the phones currently on eBay and trying to use it in Australia will only end in tears and heartbreak of unprecidented magnitude.

There’s hope on the horizon though, and it comes from those whingers up in that cold place.

The UK version of the G1 will be compatible with optus, telstra and voda’s 3G networks. (Not sure about 3 at this stage). With a zero cost option available there, it won’t be long until some of these beauties show up on eBay UK. Read More…
