After exhaustive research we’re able to bring you some advice that could save you a few bucks. The t-Mobile G1 that’s available in the USA and is currently being shipped, is incompatible with australian 3G networks. Buying one of the phones currently on eBay and trying to use it in Australia will only end in tears and heartbreak of unprecidented magnitude.
There’s hope on the horizon though, and it comes from those whingers up in that cold place.
The UK version of the G1 will be compatible with optus, telstra and voda’s 3G networks. (Not sure about 3 at this stage). With a zero cost option available there, it won’t be long until some of these beauties show up on eBay UK.
